Debating Society
The Debating Society of the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) was established in 2003. Its main goal is to promote the sport of debate within the university community, introducing students to one of the most exciting and enjoyable activities, while teaching them how to address an audience and develop strong arguments.
The Society represents the University at major debating competitions in Greece and abroad, showcasing talented speakers and achieving top results in tournaments. At the same time, it organizes the AUEB Debate Championship, where university teams from across Greece compete in debate rounds, improve their skills, and compete for top positions among the best speakers.
Every Thursday at 19:00, the Society holds its weekly debating meeting at the Athens University of Economics and Business. The meetings include argumentation seminars and debate rounds, during which speakers are trained in the structure and presentation of arguments and prepare for upcoming championships.
